DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION
1. Domestic Violence Prevention activities include:
- Domestic violence trainings and workshops for local immigrant and refugee- serving organizations.
- Cultural competence trainings and workshops for local community based organizations
- Domestic violence education
- Teen Relationship Violence workshops
- Community outreach and education
- Women’s support groups
- Human rights classes
- Parenting classes
- Yoga and self-defense classes
- Quilting, cooking and other art classes
- Group dialogues for change
DRIVER’S LICENSE EDUCATION PROJECT
Driver’s License Education Project includes:
1. Learner’s Permit Preparation Classes – offered for women who are planning to take written test at the California Department of Motor Vehicles. License To Freedom’s staff and volunteers teach those classes.
ADVOCACY
We advocate for battered immigrant and refugee women when we refer them to domestic violence agencies to ensure that they are receiving appropriate services.
